How to Adjust Your Bike Follow
Local Legend Dave is back at it again with another how to video, this time he will be able to run you through how to adjust your bike.
Handlebar adjustment
To adjust your the placement of your handlebar, undo the 4 bolts holding it in in. Once loose, adjust the handlebar to your liking and tighten it in a X pattern.
Adjustable angle stem adjustment
To adjust your stem, loosen the single bolt that is securing it in place. Once the stem has been undone around 10 revolutions, push the bolt inwards so that it pops out the other side. You will then be able to adjust the angle of the stem to your liking. When you're happy with the angle, push the bolt back in and tighten the bolt so that it is snug. Make sure not to over tighten it!
Seatpost adjustment
To adjust how high your seat post is, use the quick release to adjust how much of the seat post is exposed. As a rule of thumb, line the seat to around your hip for maximum comfort.
Seat adjustment
You are able to adjust the angle and position of your seat. Use a 6mm allen key to loosen the bolt on the bottom of the seat then adjust the seat until you're happy with it. To secure the position of the seat, tighten the bolt.
Suspension Fork Adjustment
There are two adjustments that you can make on your suspension fork. On the left hand side, there is a black knob to adjust the preload. By adjusting it, you will be able to increase or decrease the firmness of the suspension which would be more comfortable for riders dependant on weight. If it is too soft, add preload. If it is too hard, take away preload.
On the right hand side, there is a lock out. Rotate the knob to lock it so that suspension does not occur.
